Welcome to all our new starters and their families. The PTA is a team of parent and teacher volunteers who run events in conjunction with the school to raise much needed funds that help to purchase items that the school budget cannot stretch to. We try to make the children’s school experience extra special and fun!

Join the PTA!

You can join us at any point during the school year, even if you can’t attend any meetings, there is so much you can do at home or at the events.

We are always in need of new volunteers to get involved and bring in new suggestions and ideas. The PTA is a great way to get involved with making your child’s school experience more fulfilled. We support the school in so many ways. Any help is always gratefully received whether it is making teas and coffees, helping to lay out chairs or just giving fresh ideas! We are always looking for new ideas and any parents who have skills or contacts that we can utilise!

Don’t be put off if you feel you can’t give your time, haven’t been asked or are unsure what’s involved….

How can I join?

Please look at the PTA noticeboard to see when the next meeting will be held or contact us by email ( or through our Facebook page (

I don’t have time, how else can I support the PTA?

There are many ways to support the school and the PTA. Join in as many activities and events as you can and sign up for the following schemes to generate money for the PTA with no cost to you:

Amazon Smile:

Beaudesert Lower School PTA are delighted to announce that we have been accepted into the Amazon Smile program. When you shop at, Amazon Donates 0.5% of sales to your chosen charity with no cost to you. To register, follow these steps:

Easyfundraising is the UK’s biggest charity fundraising platform. It turns everyday online shopping into free donations for the school. It’s simple to use and doesn’t cost you anything extra.

Just sign up at, choose Beaudesert Lower School PTA as your charity and shop through the easyfundraising website, through the app, or download the donation reminder on your browser, which will pop a comment every time you visit a website that’s included in the scheme. It couldn’t be easier! Have a look:

Using easyfundraising means that the PTA will have a steady stream of donations coming throughout the year. It’s an effortless way of raising funds consistently alongside all of our other fundraising initiatives we have. Once signed up, you will raise a donation every time you shop online via easyfundraising – whether you’re doing your weekly grocery shop, buying car insurance, booking a holiday or even switching energy provider.

Please also spread the word to friends and family, anyone can sign up!

The donation per purchase will generally be between 0.5% and 10%. Some retailers – including insurance and broadband providers – will pay a flat fee which can be in the £100s!

By getting involved in our Bag2School collection, you have an opportunity to sort through your cupboards and wardrobes and donate unwanted textiles (please use any bags that can be tied such as bin bags) – this can include adults’ and children’s clothes, shoes (tied together please), hats, belts, handbags and soft toys, (please refer to for full details). Our next collection is on the 9th December 2020. Please leave your bags under the playground shelter by 9am on the day.

In addition to raising much needed funds it will also raise awareness amongst the children of the benefits of recycling and reuse. Don’t forget to ask grandparents, friends and neighbours to have a sort out as well!

Where does the money go?

Throughout the last couple of years, the PTA has raised more than £10,000! Last year wasn’t our best due to Lockdown happening and many events being cancelled, however, we still managed to raise a fair amount that was used for a few things, including:

In the current climate it might be a challenge to fundraise in our normal way but we are still looking at activities that can run to raise money for the school so the children can have better equipment and enjoy enriching activities. Sadly, there won’t be a Christmas Fayre as we know it this year, however, we are exploring a number of options where we can raise money safely whilst bringing some of the favourite elements to parents and children alike. These include:

– Christmas Jumper Day

– Christmas Raffle

– Great Beaudesert Bake Off

– Products with children’s artwork or photos to purchase

– Virtual Christmas Fayre

– Online Bingo night

Our first event of the year, Non-uniform day, has been really successful! We have raised £215.54 and it’s going to be used to buy this year’s presents from Santa and set up a Grotto for the children to visit on the day of their Christmas party.

The money raised goes into our charity bank account, which is separate from any school funds. Then the PTA decides how to spend the money. The headteacher attends all PTA meetings and informs us of current and future projects that may need funding, then the PTA decides whether to contribute or not and how much. We also make suggestions to the school and find enriching activities for the children to enjoy such as a theatre company visiting the school, a magic show or a part-funded trip to the theatre.

The PTA are very conscious of the well-being and financial effects on both children and parents across the school due to the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, our aim this year is to find a balance between the need to fundraise with ensuring the children have fun. We are also hoping to provide some fully funded activities for the children. As such, we really appreciate your continued support .

We need more volunteers to continue the work that we do. If you think you can help, please join our next meeting or let us know via the Facebook Page. It doesn’t have to be a big commitment! Or if you have any ideas for fundraising, comments or feedback we would love to hear from you! Please get in touch!
